CU Buttons #5 and a new PS Layer Style!

Oh my goodness, my little temper tantrum sure sparked some interesting commentary... thank you all for your kind words and support! And the little princess thanks you all for the birthday wishes! Lisa of EALDesigns sent the sweetest gift to her online - thank you! And Cyndi from Wetfish Designs sent me a very wonderful gift too, right out of the blue. Thank you soo much! And I received an email from Shirley of a big ole animated google eye that gave me a big belly laugh!! She did not give me a link to her blog so I hope she emails me back and I can link her!

Update: Shirley's blog is Xashee's Corner

So for today's freebies I have Set #5 of my Vintage Button Collection. This will probably be the last set of buttons because most of the others in the collection are just too plain to bother with. There are 24 buttons in this set, and I think there may be a couple of duplicates from earlier sets but the lighting is different so they do appear brighter than previous ones. But for the most part they are all new.

Download CU Button Collection #5 HERE

or HERE (SkyDrive)

And I also have a set of seed bead layer styles for PS. They were inspired by a suggestion from csuramsrule on the ADSDesigners forum. She was looking for a microbead layer style and I figured I could do that if I had a good stock photo to work with. I looked all over the net but couldn't find one that would make a good pattern for the style. Sooooo, I went out to Wally World and plunked down $1.97 for a pack of beads to photograph myself.... here's the original photo:

I cropped the little gold beads on the right and created a seamless pattern (or as close as I could get, still need to work on my clone stamp skills) to use for the layer styles. Then shortly after that, DH dumped them all over the carpet! LOL. He did vacuum them up though. There are 7 colors in this set and one is grey so you can recolor if you like.

Download the CU Seed Bead Layer Styles (Photoshop .asl file) HERE

Here's a quick example of how it looks when I applied the style to a custom shape supplied in PS. Cool eh? No mandatory love today but feel free to thank me if you have the time!

lol OMG I missed it, been to busy with all thats happening I havnt been doing my daily visits here..
A very happy belated birthday wish full of love to your DD... And what is a sheet cake :)Its kinda funny laura and I will say something and its the same things but named differently in each country lol..
I am also glad you liked the QP, dont you just love that purple :) I was messing around didnt save it, and I bet I couldnt get that same color again...
So glad also that you are having so much fun with CS3 I knew you would... Also glad to hear you are changing your TOU's I to have seen your things many times and said all they did was layered it then offered it up in a set... Fact I smile everytime I see your things being used.. I am pretty sure I have never done the wrong thing, I always credit people, cos as I said before, they have made things easier for me and while I may make it my own by adding color ect I still didnt make the original thing..
And your button so set of the clustered tapestry frame :)
Anyway I for one have always appreciated everything you do, and I know there are alot of others out there who do as well..
lol and you know my feelings on those that download and cant say thank you :)
And one other thing, you have always made good quality things, and so many of them are just plain fun to use, you do have a talent for it.. With the amount of downloads you get, you should not have abit of doubt in your mind about that :)
Anyway I have typed another essay, lol but your used to that now:)
*love and hugs to you and your family* have a great one my friend :)

OMG!! The beads are so fun! What a kewl idea. I am a beader (along with all the zillion other hobbies I seem to have going) and thought that was a totally fun thing you did with them. I don't know how to use layer styles, but maybe you are sparking me to learn more here... ;o)

I also want to thank you for the lovely overlay "gifts" (or freebies) you share too. You'd be surprised how much I have begun to 'see textures' in my everyday life since I DL'd your sets of overlays. Thank you for expanding my ability to see so many more things in each day. I'll even find myself giggling when I think to myself... "I wonder what the Scrappin Cop could make out of THIS?" (Wink!)

And the buttons... Well OH MY WORD! I adore them!!! I have been on a hunt for them at yard sales and such. Can't seem to find any. Seeing all of yours is a blast! Thanx for feeding my addiction to the buttons from 'yesteryear' too.

Thanks for making my day so much brighter. The very first thing I do when I sit at the PC .. is come see you here. Have a GREAT DAY!

Much luv,

"PR"

Thanks for the freebies you offer! I'm guilty of drive-by downloading - I usually read through my RSS reader and don't visit the blog so I forget to comment. Thanks though!

Thanks for the buttons!! This is my first download off your site. I'll have to come back and decide what animals I want! They are all so cute! I appreciate your rant. I'm in the process of setting up a blog for freebies that I've been working on. Now I know to clearly define my terms of use from the beginning. Thanks! I'll be back soon!

oh, this is awesome!! I used to do beading when I was younger and I still, to this day, have an enormous "tackle box" full of beads!! I don't play with them as much as I used to, but this is a fabulous style to have on hand when I get the "bead" urge! LOL! Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful items with us! :)
