Cu Layered Hen and Baby Chick Templates

Well, I am not sure about this hen I made. DH thinks it looks like a penguin (???) and DD thinks it looks like just a random bird. So I had to come up with a chick to go with her so everyone would know she was a chicken and not a partridge or something! I messed with her until my head hurt and finally gave up. The wings, the shape, everything seemed wrong. Oh well, I've said that before and everyone still says they love them so maybe she will be okay!

(Link Fixed 10-31-08, thank you Dreamsfulfilled)

I have received several nice comments followed up with an email from a nice lady named Lauren. Her son Connor is 4 years old and already very skilled at Photoshop. (???) She explained that he loves my animal templates and she will load them into PS for him. He then will color the layers (how long did it take me to figure out layers?) with the paintbucket and she showed him how to clip papers to the layers, he moved them around to center them! That's crazy! Anyway, she sent me some of Connor's creations and permission to show them off here! The Patriotic Caterpillar is in honor of Michael Phelps and his amazing swim career representing the USA in the Olympics! Lauren doesn't have a blog but am sure she and Connor will check in so leave them some shouts!! Fantastic stuff buddy!

AWW! Connor had the cheesiest grin on his face when I read your blog to him, he kept saying "That's my dog".. Look closely - his name is Scooby on his collar.

Thanks for posting it, it made all of us smile!

And apparently our caterpillar is good luck, too because Phelps is seconds away from getting his tenth - wait, nevermind, another world record set by Team USA by five seconds!

I'll let the cyber world know that Connor has since shown me a trick on Photoshop CS2. (ways to make multiple layers invisible at one time - with one click).

So not only is he colorful with a wild imagination, (He was afraid of a hurricane coming while he slept last night) but he teaches Mommy photoshop tips.

Thanks for all of the wonderful comments, he loves knowing that so many other people love them.

I will say that he played with the bugs (the bee and the beetle) and made them relatively normal colors, they're pink and navy and just adorable. So we put them in the jar and had a blast!

Same four year old that shows his stepfather how to play Civil War on the playstation...

Maybe I should look out and beware!
