CU Directional Stitches Photoshop Brush Set!

For my second post of the night I am offering my first brush set created with CS3. I offered several brush sets that I created in PSE but the awesome thing about Photoshop is that I can create directional brushes! This means that when you draw or "paint" with your brush, the tip will follow the direction of your mouse. Very cool! And they will work in PSE too! (tested in PSE6 only.) I made a few stitches as my first brush set. You can adjust the settings for the spacing, angle, roundness, etc. of each brush to create dozens of different looks with this simple set! I tried to make it appear that some of the stitches had "holes" under them. Here's an example of how some of the stitches look when I stroked a path around a flower shape with the brushes:

I recommend placing the stitching on it's own layer in your document. Then you can add layer styles (drop shadows or bevels, etc) to the stitches. You can also change the size jitter to get "messy stitches" that are not all the same size. I love playing with brushes, they are so versatile and so adjustable! I hope you like this set as much as I do! Here's the preview and download links; if you missed my earlier post, I'm trying a new file sharing host to see if it is more convenient and/or faster. The nice thing is there is no advertising or timer for you to wait on to download. However, you cannot post comments on File Savr so I don't know if I am going to like it. If you try the File Savr link, please let me know how it works for you!

These look great!!! I vote "all of the above" on your poll, because ALL of your designs are such high quality beautiful items!!

I am just learning photoshop so I am not sure how to "stroke a path" with a brush, but I am still going to play around with these! They are so useful!

Hugs,
~Anna

Hi Deb!
Thanks for the cool stitch brushes!
FileSavr worked great, is there a way to make the link open in it's own window? That way it is easier to go ahead and leave comments on the blog.
Hugs,
Vicki

Oh wow! This is wonderful! I have a few brushes that resemble stitches that I use all the time but I'm looking forward to using yours since yours look much better! I loved the new file sharing server. So quick and no wait...people should be kind enough to leave a comment on your blog but I know some won't. I may have to switch to this file sharing server myself it is quick! I'll wait and see if you have any problems with it first.

Thanks a million! I love your stuff!

Girl, you NEVER cease to AMAZE me with what you'll come up with next!!! I've just been FINALLY using some of your overlays in a mini-kit I'm working on for the October Treasure Chest over at Treasures To Scrap and have stopped by to CATCH UP!!! PHEW! You are TOO darned FAST!!!

I, like Anna (deliciousscraps), have not yet learned to "stroke a path" or even make a path which is something I've been yearning to do for a long time. I am finally setting aside some time to just PLAY in Photoshop without SO many deadlines hanging over me all the time! I am SO excited to LEARN!!!

Thank you SOOOOO much for your CONTINUED generosity and sharing YOUR time and YOUR talent with ALL of us in SCRAPLAND!!!

You ROCK ... and then SOME!!!

Have a GORGEOUS day darlin'!

BIG HUGS,
Linda :)
