CU Gems and Styles for the Holidays!

It has been awhile since I played with some Filter Forge filters so I sat down this evening and had some fun making a few seamless tiles that I then made into Photoshop Styles and Patterns.  I was looking for some aged metal type patterns for a star that I am working on, I want to make it look 3 dimensional and it is a work in progress, when I get it perfected I'll post it as a freebie, here's what it looks like so far: SC_GreyStar
I included the .asl, the .pat, and seamless image tiles (300 x 300 .pngs) for non PS Users.  There are some shimmery metals and some rusty metals.SC_HolidayMetalsPreview
And then I found a cool filter in Filter Forge that makes gems.  It is really neat because you can adjust the number of sides, the number of facets, the color, the lighting.  It takes awhile to render the images but it is worth the wait!  There are 6 greyscale gems and their colored examples included in this set.  All are about 3" in diameter in .png form.  Have fun playing with the blend modes, fill with gradients, they are very versatile. I used a dark green to lighter green linear gradient on this gem in overlay mode:

Cool eh?  Grab them below!

Thank you SO much for some NEW styles and some NEW gems to design with Deb!!! One of these days, I might just have to break from designing and start PLAYING with all of the filters I've acquired over the past year or so!!! You make it look SO easy! It would take me a week just to crank one of them puppies out!!!

Have a LOVELY tomorrow!
