CU Nutcracker Layered Template

Well, I have been working on this silly nutcracker all night and I'm not happy with him but as usual I'm tired of messing with it.  I looked at clipart, web images, books, and could not find a cute nutcracker.  All the ones I found were pretty homely looking, and some were downright scary looking.  So feel free to make some much needed improvements on this little guy.  I think he probably needs some hair too.  Anyway, grab him if you like him and have fun making him your own!

Crud, I forgot to add this to my earlier post and forgot to post it tonight too but am editing my post to add it.  I've actually been meaning to post about these great web apps for weeks now and playing with Brandy's plaid patterns reminded me to do so.  Forgive me if you all have used and heard of this before but there are two FREE online pattern generators that I just LOVE.  The first one is Tartan Maker.  You can input three colors and adjust the yarns and yarn sizes and if you want a horizontal or diagonal pattern.  When you have everything set the way you want it, press "Make It" and the program makes your plaid tile.  You then can download the tile and make it into a pattern with whatever program you use.  The tile is downloaded in .png form.  Here's one I made in 5 seconds:

And here's what a paper would look like when you tile the pattern.  It took me about 15 seconds to make the tile into a pattern and fill a 3600 x 3600 layer with the pattern.

Cool?? And they have a sister site, called Stripe Generator.  The concept is the same, you enter the color for your stripe and color or gradient for your background and generate your stripe tile.  You can also add a shadow to your stripes which is adjustable too.   Definitely check out these sites if you are looking for some simple patterns for your next set of papers!

Oh, he's adorable, don't be so hard on yourself!

Most nutcrackers ARE scary looking, so don't feel so bad, I guess making him cute was more the task than making him.

With all of these Christmas templates, it's going to be hard to choose which ones to use for which pages!!

Thanks again, awesome freebie, as usual.

This is the first nutcracker that I have ever seen that I like! Most of them are just as you said, ugly or scary. Now this little guy is cute, thank you Deb!

I've been playing with the two sites you mentioned; just haven't installed the patterns yet.

Hi

I see that you use fileSavr and just wanted to know if you are happy with them or not and if it all works well with the downloads etc.

I'm a paid member of 4shared account and find their service slow and overpriced and even though I paid for extra bandwidth I may as well have not bothered as it made no difference lol.

I would be extremely grateful for your input on filesavr and if it's worth changing over.

I look forward to your reply.
With many thanks
Marie
