Today’s freebie is a set of three fonts that I drew in Illustrator. There’s a solid weird font, an outline weird font, and a cracked weird font. Maybe you can find some use of them to create an alpha for your kits.

I’m not really thrilled with how some of the dings turned out in this freebie but hopefully you can find some use for a few of them in your summer/beach layouts. There are 26 doodle dingbats (All Caps A-Z) and a Photoshop/PSE .csh file if you can use it. These were suggested some time ago and I hope that you can use them Jake! If you were wondering, the W is supposed to be a surf board and the U is supposed to be a floaty. Pretty sad huh?

Today’s freebie is a set of layered cardboard frames. The layers include the cardboard base, a layer to recolor or clip your favorite background paper to, and a ribbon layer. I photographed some cardboard and used CS3 to cut the framed shapes out of it. I used some of my curled ribbons to wrap around the frames. You can omit the ribbons and the template layer if you just want to use the cardboard frames. And for those who cannot use .psd files I included in a zip the cardboard frames only. There are a few other shapes that I made also and will probably get them posted tomorrow.

I’m back with some photoshop shapes that I made using one of my favorite photographs, Old Sticker on an Electrical Box, which can be found on my Deviant Art Account HERE. I made some levels adjustments, and then selected several cracks, imported and traced them in Illustrator, then brought the resulting paths back into Photoshop to create custom shapes. I also used some sidewalk and dirt crack photos that I recently took around the house. I love vectors because they take such a tiny space on your hard drive and you can make them as huge or small as you want without loss of quality. Play with layer styles, blend modes, opacities, and create some great grungy papers and elements! I also included the png files for those who can’t use the .csh for Photoshop or PSE. about half of the .png files are 3600 x 3600 so you can just turn them into an overlay over your favorite paper. The preview doesn’t really do them justice, these are really cool ya’all! Download and play with them!

Things are finally starting to settle down around here. We’re done with Little League for this summer and now we just have WeeBall and DH’s softball games. We had a great vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks and now I hope to have some time to get back to some more frequent blogging and Photoshopping! Today’s blog freebie is a set of two textured overlays that I made by creating brushes from some of my paisley and swirl doodles. They’re pretty random but I just can’t find any unique things to create lately. I have another set of two overlays that I hope to finish the previews for and post tomorrow. Thanks everyone for checking in with me this summer and I’m sorry I’ve been such a bad blogger. Truth is, I have a buttload of emails to answer too. And for all who have dropped by to give me awards, I really do appreciate them! Thanks so much!
And if you are ever wondering what I’m up to between blog posts, you can read my tweets where I microblog about the mundane and insane events in my daily life.
