Today’s freebie is a set of brushes in .abr for Photoshop/PSE and .png files. You just choose the month and “stamp” it on your layout, etc. You can use one of the two “grids” or leave it without the grid, it’s really your preference. It would be fun to make a calendar from a brag book set and give as gifts (wish I had time to do this!) Here’s an example:

Today’s freebie is a set of dollar store finds that I photographed and extracted. They are shiny and glittery! And guess what, when I unpackaged them to photograph, so much glitter came off on my kitchen table and counter that it looks like a glitter wonderland in my kitchen! LOL. Since they are silver, they are easily recolored (as in the poinsettia example in the preview). Oh, and they are BIG, because I forgot to resize them before I zipped them up and uploaded them. The size on the preview is about 1/2 as big as they really would be on a 3600 x 3600 canvas.

Today’s freebie is a set of doodle edges that you can use as they are or you can use them to create template shapes for your layouts. I captured a few screen shots to show you what I mean. All of the shapes are at least 3600 pix wide so you just plop one on your layout:
Then using your magic wand select the area under or over the doodle, with your contiguous box checked. Create a layer under the doodle layer and expand your selection by a few pixels.
Then fill the selection on your blank layer with a color:
While you still have your marching ants, invert your selection and create another layer above the layer you just filled in and fill it with a different color:
Deselect and you can remove or hide the doodle area if you want, or keep it depending on your taste:
You can clip a background paper to each of the shape layers or just apply a layer style, it’s really up to you!

It is an awesome phone but unfortunately I cannot use it with my current carrier. Once I receive it I am going to place it on Ebay and auction it for Special Olympics. Special Olympics is an organization that is especially dear to those of us in Law Enforcement. Every year we raise money for Special Olympics by participating in a Torch Run. Police departments from all over the state run in different “legs” of the run and carry the torch to the Opening Ceremonies of their state’s Special Olympics. Anyway, I appreciate your votes! There’s no way I could have won the phone without you and thanks to you we will raise some money for a great organization!
A midweek freebie for you today, which has been rare lately! The kids are done with Football and Cheerleading practice so hopefully I will have more time to devote to the blog. However, my 13 year old son has convinced me to train for a 1/2 marathon in May so that is obviously going to take some dedication too. I need a “couch to 13 mile” training program! But it should be fun training with him even though he laps me several times when we run in circles at the gym.
